How about a little bit of Hip Hop for you before this blog gets too jammed up with E3 news. Here is what is rumored to be the tracklist of Hova and Yeezy’s Watch the Thrones. Take it with a grain of salt though because the track H.A.M. which was supposed to be a single from the album isn’t even on this tracklist. Its also rumored to release in July. Who knows if it will actually happen.

Xander Edit: This track list is reportedly correct but incomplete.  Stay tuned.

J.Cole – Return of Simba

May 29, 2011

This is the third tracks J.Cole’s “Simba” series which starting with a track by the same name from The Come Up mixtape, followed by “Grown Simba” from The Warm Up.  J.Cole’s debut album on Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label is…coming soon.  Cole is one of my favorite artists right now, his debut album will most likely be amazing.

Kanye West & Jay-Z Single Cover “H.A.M.”

January 8, 2011

About a week ago I mentioned that Kanye West drunkenly declared “Watch the Throne coming in one week”, well a week has past and still no Watch The Throne. However, we do have this single cover.  So what do you think “H.A.M.” stands for?

Monday Night Hip Hop: 03/1/11

January 3, 2011

Well its a new year and I figure I need some new content, so starting today I will post a list of 5 of my favorite songs from the previous week ever monday night (most likely after football is over). They won’t necessarily be new, just whatever I was bumping that week. Enjoy:

5) Mac Miller – Don’t Mind If I Do

Love this joint.  Off Mac Millers latest mixtape K.I.D.S.  The kids 18 and still in High School yet he rips better than 90% of emcees out there.

4) Eminem – Syllables f. Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, Stat Quo & 50 Cent

Not exactly a club banger but I just love the sentiment that they each put into their verse.  Clearly a message with this one, oh and the hook is priceless.

3)Rhymefest – How High Ft. Little Brother and Darien Brockington

Rhymefest is one of the best emcees in the game these days hands down and yet no one knows who he is!  El Che was an awesome album although I gotta say I love Dangerous 5-18 at least as much(maybe cause its my birthday…).  Anyway this song is awesome check out El Che in stores now!

2) Tonedeff – Spanish Song

I only recently became aware that Tonedeff existed but he’s easily one of my favorites right now.  His flow is awesome and his linguists are amazing.  Plus he’s just downright funny, this song off his 2001 album Hyphen cracks me up.

1) Jay-Z – Renegade (Feat. Eminem)

I’ve been reading Jay-Z’s Decoded, its a fascinating book.  Jay-Z’s writing style is a little simplistic but you aren’t really reading a book like Decoded for its literary prowess.  I’ve been following along by listening to the Decoded mixtape while I read, its something akin to a greatest hits album, I’d suggest downloading it. The song Renegade in particular sticks out every time hear even though I’ve probably heard it 50 times it never gets old. Jay-Z points out in Decoded, this is actually the only feature on his commercially successful and critically acclaimed The Blueprint. Seriously hands down on of my favorite hip hop songs of all time.  A classic through and through.
