Nas – Nasty

June 14, 2011

Nas dropped his first single off his upcoming album titled Life is Good.  The single’s  title was aptly derived from Nas’ former moniker Nasty Nas.  This track is very reminiscent of Nas’ old style which he used to become one of hip-hop’s greatest legends.

Lil Wayne – If I Die Today (feat. Rick Ross)

April 3, 2011

This is the second single Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV, the first project Wayne is planning to release since his prison stint.

This beat sounds extremely similar to Rick Ross’s “I’m Not A Star” and even some of the lyrics that Wayne is singing are Ross’ from that same song. I’m assuming Lil Wayne just hit up Rick Ross and was just like “So remember that song you made last year that was ok?  Wanna make it great?  Throw me on that bitch and you can get 15 more minutes.”

Anyway, it’s decent.

Game (feat. Lil Wayne) – Red Nation

March 11, 2011

This is the first single off Game’s fourth studio album R.E.D. Album.  According to this song both Game’s album and Dre’s Detox are coming out this year. Yeah, I’ll believe it when I see it.

Travis Barker ft. Pharrell & Lupe Fiasco – “If You Want To”

March 9, 2011

This track is off Travis Barker’s star studded solo debut album Give the Drummer Some. The song is really sick, I feel like this is what Lazers should have been.

The full tracklist  album  below (after the jump) features nearly every big name in hip-hop including Wayne, Rick Ross, Swizz Beatz, Game, Pharrell, Lupe Fiasco, RZA, Raekwon, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, E-40, Slaughterhouse, Yelawolf, Twista, Busta Rhymes, Lil Jon, Kid Cudi, Tech N9Ne, Bun B, Beanie Sigel and Cypress Hill.  If the rest of the songs are as good as this one, which seems very possible, this album should be amazing.

Eminem – Give Me The Ball

February 3, 2011

No word on where this is from.  Possibly a track cut from Recovery.  Not Em’s finest work but more or less what I’ve come to expect from him this day in age…
